Six Ways to Avoid an
Asthma Attack 1) Take More Vitamin C
"Decreased
preference for foods containing vitamin C and decreased concentrations of
vitamin C in blood plasma are also associated with asthma." (Hatch, G.E. (1995) American
Journal of Clinical Nutrition. 61:625S-30S.) Boy howdy, does it ever. One day, my next door neighbor came to my door and said her 5-year-old had scarfed down half
a bottle of vitamin C chewables.
She wondered, naturally, if there was danger. I asked if the child was showing any symptoms. She thought for a moment, and replied, "Well, his asthma went away."
Robert Cathcart, M.D.,
recommends a daily vitamin C dosage of between 15,000 to 50,000 milligrams

line. For
you, this may mean regular visits to a good chiropractor. For me, it means
yoga, regular exercise, and stretches every day. Easy how-to's

products. Dairy is notorious for increasing lung congestion, and congestion is the last thing an asthmatic needs. Eat
a lot of legumes (peas, beans and lentils) and as much as you possibly can of fresh, raw food such as vegetable salads and fresh fruit. This is a
tried and true naturopathic protocol. 6) Look into
homeopathic remedies for asthma. Taking lots of vitamin C will likely negate your need even for these.
