Boy in Torn Hat, after Thomas Sully, 1783–1872 Watercolor by Warren E. Saul (1983) My father seems to make this child look older than the 9-year-old boy in the famous original. But I very much admire the treatment of clothing and shadows, and as always, the amazing speed with which my father did these.
